I'm thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of our 16th CD collaboration with the London-based Sepia Records: Mario Lanza: The Definitive Student Prince.
I'll be posting more details here soon, but for now here is an extract from the accompanying 12-page booklet:
This unique CD comprises every song that Lanza recorded from The Student Prince, in addition to being the first compilation to bring together all the complete recordings featured in the 1954 film version.

This unique CD comprises every song that Lanza recorded from The Student Prince, in addition to being the first compilation to bring together all the complete recordings featured in the 1954 film version.
Spanning the years 1946 to 1959, it includes rare live radio performances and an unreleased MGM rehearsal of “Gaudeamus Igitur,” while the bonus tracks section features seven restored gems from other popular operettas. As a further attraction, many of the tracks are appearing here in stereo for the first time, thanks to the process known as DES (Digitally Extracted Stereo), a technological breakthrough that brings remarkable clarity to formerly mono recordings without affecting their integrity.

Meanwhile, for those in the US, there is also the option of purchasing the CD from the Mario Lanza Institute, with proceeds going toward scholarships for young singers in Lanza's name.
If you prefer to order this CD from Amazon or other online sellers, it will be officially released on June 26, 2026. (The release date has changed twice owing to shipping delays, but I have been assured that June 26 will stand.)
